We are always buying books whether one or thousands. You can bring them into the store; no appointment is needed. (There is always a book-buyer present when we are open.) Or, if you have too much to bring in, we can come to you; call us and we'll make an appointment. We buy all kinds of books: paperbacks and hardcovers, recent and old, fiction and non-fiction.
We do not buy romances, condensed books, computer-programing books, and text-books. (Note that "text-books" does not mean scholarly books -- which we love to buy -- but rather a book for teaching a course in school.)
Shipping
We are experienced in shipping all kinds and sizes of books around the world. Large oversize books, in particular, require extra care. We ship in strong, well-taped card-board boxes packed with plenty of clean paper, styrofoam or plastic bubble wrap. We ship by U. S. Mail.
Shipping costs vary widely depending on whether one is ordering a small, average, or oversize book; whether sets or multiple volumes. The choice of priority rate or insurance also affects costs. We ship all domestic orders with delivery confirmation. Foreign customers should know that all foreign orders from the U. S. must now be shipped airmail. Please consult with us if you have any special requirements, especially if your order must arrive by a certain date.
